Our Story
The Devon & Jones story begins in 1991 when lifelong friends Alan Jones and Mark Devon launched a men’s apparel brand from their college dorm room. As former collegiate athletes, Alan and Mark were dissatisfied with the boxy, uncomfortable dress shirts and ill-fitting polos dominating menswear at the time.
Armed with a shared passion for clothing and a modest budget, Alan and Mark began designing shirts and polos offering both style and comfort. They chose high-quality fabrics like soft Pima cotton and flexible stretch oxfords, favoring elegant, tailored cuts over the boxy styles en vogue.
Word spread quickly about Alan and Mark’s designs on campus, and their comfortable, stylish apparel was soon in high demand. Sensing they were onto something big, the duo invested in new equipment and supplies to ramp up production. Orders poured in from neighboring colleges, then nationwide as the Devon & Jones reputation for quality grew.
Today, Devon & Jones is a thriving brand beloved by men and women across the country. We operate our own manufacturing facilities and company-owned stores to maintain exceptional quality standards.
